This website is intended to provide information about the lodging services of Hotel Casa Colibrí and to facilitate the direct reservation process.
RATES AND OCCUPANCY
2.1 BASE RATES
All our rates are calculated for two people per room. Prices when booking through this website include breakfast and include 21% in taxes (16% VAT + 5% lodging tax), unless otherwise stated.
Rates are subject to change without prior notice. The price confirmed at the time of reservation will not be affected by promotions or lower rates published after your purchase.
2.2 MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY AND ADDITIONAL GUEST CHARGES
Double rooms:
Master Suite, Bungalow and King room with partial ocean view:
Rooms with partial ocean view: the view is partial and can be seen from the room's balcony.
2.3 TAXES
All rates include 21% in applicable taxes (16% VAT + 5% lodging tax), unless expressly stated otherwise.
2.4 ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION TAX
The Environmental Sanitation Tax is a mandatory municipal charge collected at the front desk at the time of check-in and is not included in the room rate. The amount varies according to the number of occupants per room and is charged per person per night:
1 person: $35.20 Mexican pesos per night
2 people: $58.70 Mexican pesos per night
3 people: $76.20 Mexican pesos per night
4 people: $88.00 Mexican pesos per night
2.5 PRICE CHANGE POLICY
Prices are adjusted based on date availability. The price confirmed in your reservation cannot be modified downward in the event that a lower rate exists for special promotions or similar offers published after your purchase.
INCLUDED SERVICES
The room rates published on this website include breakfast and the following services at no additional cost:
American Breakfast daily (from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.), including: coffee, juice, fruit plate, bread, butter, jam, and a main dish of your choice from our special selection for guests.
Beach loungers at the hotel's beach area (subject to availability; beach area availability may be affected by natural factors such as weather changes, tides, and natural events beyond our control).
Beach towels.
Room service from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
RESERVATIONS
4.1 CONFIRMATION
Reservations are subject to availability. A reservation is considered confirmed only when the guest receives written confirmation from the hotel.
4.2 PAYMENT METHODS
We accept the following payment methods:
Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
Bank transfer
Cash at the property (MXN, USD and EUR)
Payment data is processed securely through certified providers. The hotel does not store complete credit card information.
4.3 DEPOSIT AND ADVANCE PAYMENT BY RATE TYPE
High Season Rate: a 50% advance payment of the total reservation is required at the time of confirmation.
Standard Rate: a guarantee via credit card or deposit may be required according to the conditions informed at the time of booking.
Non-Refundable Rate: full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION POLICY
5.1 HIGH SEASON RATE
Cancellations or modifications made more than 30 days before the arrival date: refund of the deposit minus applicable administrative fees.
Cancellations or modifications made within 30 days prior to arrival: penalty equivalent to the total deposit paid (no refund).
5.2 STANDARD RATE
Cancellations or modifications made more than 3 days before the arrival date: no penalty.
Cancellations or modifications made within 3 days prior to arrival: penalty equivalent to one night's stay.
5.3 NON-REFUNDABLE RATE
Any cancellation or modification made after the reservation is confirmed will result in a penalty equivalent to the total deposit paid. No refund applies under any circumstance.
5.4 NO-SHOW
In the event of no-show without prior cancellation, the hotel reserves the right to retain the deposit or the amount of the first night according to the rate contracted.
5.5 FORCE MAJEURE
In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of the guest or the hotel (natural disasters, health emergencies declared by competent authorities, etc.), the parties will mutually agree on cancellation or rescheduling conditions.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Check-in time: 3:00 p.m. Early arrivals are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Check-out time: 12:00 p.m.
Late Check-Out: subject to availability, please check with the front desk.
Check-out between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.: charge of $350 MXN per additional hour.
Check-out after 4:00 p.m.: a full night's stay will be charged.
At check-in, a valid government-issued ID (passport or official ID) will be required. The hotel may request a refundable security deposit to cover any additional charges during the stay.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
The guest agrees to:
Make appropriate use of the hotel's facilities and rooms.
Respect the internal rules of the establishment and fellow guests.
Be responsible for any damage caused to the hotel's facilities, furniture or equipment due to misuse.
Not engage in any illegal activities within the establishment.
Respect the quiet hours established by the hotel.
The hotel reserves the right to request that any guest who fails to comply with these conditions leave the premises, without entitlement to a refund.
HOTEL LIABILITY
Hotel Casa Colibrí is committed to providing contracted services with the highest quality. However, the hotel will not be liable for:
Damage to or loss of guests' personal belongings inside or outside the facilities, unless they have been expressly placed in the hotel's custody.
Interruptions to services beyond the hotel's control (electricity, internet, water) caused by third parties or force majeure.
Changes in natural beach conditions (tides, sargassum, weather or other natural phenomena) that affect the availability of the beach area or loungers.
Damages, delays or inconveniences caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
8.1 CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE
In compliance with NOM-07-TUR-2002 and the requirements of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO), Hotel Casa Colibrí holds a valid Civil Liability Insurance policy covering damages to third parties in their property and person within the hotel's facilities:

MINORS
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians throughout their entire stay. The hotel may request documentation proving the relationship between the minor and the accompanying adult when last names do not match, in accordance with applicable immigration regulations in Mexico.
NON-DISCRIMINATION
In compliance with Article 58 of the Federal Consumer Protection Law (LFPC), Hotel Casa Colibrí may not deny its services to any person on the grounds of sex, ethnic or national origin, social status, health condition, religion, opinions, sexual preference, marital status, or any other reason that violates human dignity.
The hotel reserves the right to deny service only when a guest arrives in a state of intoxication, under the influence of substances, or intends to use the premises for purposes other than lodging.

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Notice, available on this website, in compliance with the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP 2025). These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws in force in the United Mexican States, including the Federal Consumer Protection Law (LFPC) and the General Tourism Law. For any dispute arising from the use of this website or the provision of hotel services, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

AMENDMENTS TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
